OTS 09-003 - Federal Savings Associations in District of Columbia May Close on Inauguration Day

Washington, D.C. — The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) has notified OTS-regulated savings associations that their branches in the nation’s capital may close on Jan. 20, 2009 due to the presidential inauguration.
Large crowds are expected, and streets and bridges will be closed in Washington, D.C., for the inauguration, parade and related events.
