LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The hours of operation for Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) have changed effective immediately, federal and state disaster management officials announced.

The new hours for all DRCs in fixed locations will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and closed on Sunday.

Disaster Recovery Centers in the designated counties serve those affected by the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding of Feb. 5.

Locations of the fixed Disaster Recovery Centers are listed below:

Baxter County. Baxter County Training Center, 170 Dillard Dr., Midway, AR 72651

Conway County. St. Vincent Fire Department, 2058 Highway 95, St. Vincent, AR 72063

Pope County. Assumption Catholic Church, McKee Hall, 103 N. Ave. 4, Atkins, AR 72823.

Sharp County. Ash Flat Community Center, 10 Arnhart St., Ash Flat, AR 72513

Stone County. Ozark Folk Center Lodge Office, 1032 Park Ave., Mountain View, AR 72560

Van Buren County.  Clinton Simmons First National Bank, 1783 Highway 65 South, Clinton, AR 72031

Izard and Randolph counties are served by a mobile DRC that will alternate between the two locations and operate on the dates shown for those locations.  Their hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

DRCs provide residents an opportunity to meet face to face with representatives from state and federal agencies to find answers to questions they may have about the recovery process. People should register with FEMA before coming to a DRC.

Individuals can register for assistance by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for those with hearing or speech-impairments. The toll-free registration line is open from 7 a.m. to midnight CST seven days a week.  You can also register online at www.fema.gov.

Residents also can visit a local Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) to speak with representatives from the state, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to discuss the types of assistance available.  They also can meet with representatives from the Arkansas Department of Insurance and the Arkansas Department of Human Services’ Food Stamp Program.

SBA urges all residents and businesses owners to visit any DRC and meet with SBA representatives.  These representatives will explain how SBA low-interest disaster loans can help pay for their disaster losses.  In addition, they will answer any questions, help complete the disaster loan application and accept completed applications. Anyone not able to visit a center should call SBA at 1-800-659-2955 or visit the website at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
