NEW JERSEY SELLS ONE WINNING $250,000 TICKET
AS MEGA MILLIONS ROLLS TO $207 MILLION
Monmouth County Winner Joins Growing Ranks of NJ Mega Millions Winners
TRENTON, NJ – (December 10, 2008) – One lucky New Jersey Lottery player has won the Mega Millions second prize of $250,000 for the Tuesday, December 9 drawing. The winning ticket, which was sold in Monmouth County , was purchased at Krauszers, located at 349 West Main Street in Freehold.
“Congratulations to Krauszers ,” said the Lottery's Acting Executive Director William T. Jourdain. “ For selling this ticket, they will receive a bonus check for $500. They have become one of the Lottery's most recent ‘lucky locations' overnight.”
While there was no top-prize winner, 180,118 other New Jersey players took home $885,790 in prizes ranging from $2 to $10,000, according to Jourdain.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, December 9 drawing were: 11, 12, 26, 31, and 33 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 27. With no winner of the top prize, the Mega Millions jackpot will roll to $207,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held on Friday, December 12 at 11:00 pm on NJN-TV – the New Jersey Network.
