State Employment Services — You can access job openings in the state of Ohio from this Web site. (If you are interested in employment in more than one state, select additional states from the previous page.)

File for Unemployment Insurance Benefits — You may be eligible to collect unemployment benefits while you are searching for a job. This Web site provides information about filing for unemployment benefits in the state of Ohio.

State Veteran Employment Services — This site provides information about employment services and programs that are specific to transitioning service members and veterans in the state of Ohio.

Ohio State Government Jobs — This site provides access to employment opportunities with the state of Ohio.

* Although some of the state web sites are ".com" sites, they contain state resources and information for the respective state.

National Resources

VetSuccess.gov — This site offers information about the services that the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program provides to veterans with service-connected disabilities, including information about vocational counseling and special rehabilitation available to active duty service members and veterans who have recently separated from active duty.

Transition Assistance Service Programs — This site, provided by the Disabled American Veterans, offers information on programs and counseling for transitioning service members, veterans, and their families, including benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, and other government agencies for which they may be eligible. Other Veteran Service Organizations offer assistance in a variety of areas and may also be useful to transitioning service members, veterans, and their family members.

Military Homefront — This Department of Defense site offers information on the support services available from the military and other government programs specifically designed to help troops and their families, leaders, and service providers.

EARN — This site provides information from the Employer Assistance & Recruiting Network (EARN), which is a service offered by the Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy that connects employers looking for quality employees, with skilled job candidates. EARN can help you connect with the employers in your area by linking you with a local employment service provider in its network.

DisabilityInfo.gov — This site provides information pertaining to persons with disabilities and offers special sections for veterans.

Seamless Transition — This site provides information on benefits and services available specifically to returning service members of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

GI Bill —This site provides information on education benefits.

elaws Veterans' Issues — This site has interactive Advisors that provide information on workplace rights and preferences for veterans, reservists, and National Guard members.
