Native American Title VI Grants - How to Submit a NEW
Application by mail
The availability of funds for Title VI grants is reported through
Program Announcements published in the Federal Register. Title
VI administers three grant programs and publishes a separate announcement
for each.
These announcements describe applicant eligibility, the formula
to be used in distributing the funds, the process and deadlines
for submission of the application and the expected date of the
awards. These awards are made for a three-year project period
to reduce the paperwork burden on grantees.
Eligible Tribal Organizations Administering Programs
Under Title VI Part A have submitted applications describing
their proposed plans for nutrition and supportive services for
older Indians. (See Program Announcement for Part A.)
Title VI Part B - Public and Private Nonprofit Organizations
Administering Programs Under Title VI applicants have
complied with the process (See Program Announcement for Part B);
and
Participants in the Title VI Part C - Native American
Caregiver Support program have followed the instructions
contained in Program Announcement for Part C.
The grantees have only to request annual continuations to remain
in these programs for the full three-year project period.
