Projections of Future Growth of the Older Population
  • Older Population by Age: 1900 - 2050 New Icon – An Excel workbook containing nine tables showing: the older population by age groups: 1900 to 2050 both in numbers and in the percent of the total population, the gender composition of the older population: 1900 to 2050, and population projections by race and Hispanic Origin: 2000 to 2050. The workbook also includes chart of the age composition of the population 60 and older, the population 65 and older, and the percentage of the population which will be 60 and older, 65 and older, and 85 and older.
     
  • Older Population by State: 2005 - 2030 - Data on the 60+, 65+, and 85+ population for each state and the nation: 2005 - 2030 by five year increments.
  • Aging into the 21st Century - A special report by noted demographer Jacob Siegel providing the 1996 projections on the future elderly population. Includes population, marital status, and household information as well as information about labor force participation, income, education, living arrangements, and life expectancy.
