- Siting
- Procurement
- Permitting
- Installation
- Hull: First turbine foundation in a landfill in the US

Brian Braginton-Smith will be presenting on the current state of wind power in Massachusetts and we will form subcommittees. First Meeting of the Massachusetts Wind Working Group Date: 4/1/2005Location: Westborough , MAPhone: 617-565-9713 The Northeast Regional Office's Wind Powering America Coordinator Richard Michaud and the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust's Director Rob Pratt provided opening remarks at the first meeting of the Massachusetts Wind Working Group, hosted by the Massachusetts Technology Park Corporation. Nearly 70 stakeholders attended the meeting, facilitated by the University of Massachusetts Renewable Energy Research Lab and the Massachusetts Division of Energy Resources. Several developers suggested that the group involve state and federal regulators in future meetings to better understand their concerns. Areas identified for consideration included education and outreach, regulatory reform, diverse wind applications and off-shore and community-based wind projects. Wind Power for Island and Shore Communities Date: 12/4/2002 to 12/5/2002Location: Boston , MA New England Wind Workshops Date: 10/24/2001 to 10/25/2001Location: Boston , MAWind Powering America sponsored a regional wind forum for the New England area. The forum focused on state policies and market opportunities, on-shore, off-shore and small customer-sited wind development, as well as barriers and challenges to wind development in New England's competitive wholesale and retail markets. About 150 attendees were expected, including systems benefit charges officials from MA, RI, CT, as well as other regulators, policy makers, developers, and advocacy groups. For more information, see the New England Wind Workshop Proceedings and a brochure (PDF 413 KB). The meeting was preceded by the National Wind Coordinating Committee New England Wind Power Siting Workshop.
