ATSDR Case Studies in Environmental Medicine (CSEM) are a series of self-instructional, continuing education primer materials designed to increase the primary care providers knowledge of hazardous substances in the environment and to aid in their evaluation of patients potentially exposed to hazardous substances. These materials are available online (on interactive DVD and PDF versions) and include a patient education and care instruction job aid for clinician use.
CSEM cover substance specific chemical topics as well as other relevant areas of environmental medicine such as Taking an Exposure History, Pediatric Environmental Health, and Environmental Triggers of Asthma.

TARGET AUDIENCE: The target populations for the CSEM are primary health care providers and other health professionals that are interested in environmental health topics. PREREQUISITES: Participants should have a science background and an interest in environmental health.
