U.S. Commerce Official to Honor Superior Products and
Discuss Benefits of Trade in Ohio

U.S. Department of Commerce Assistant Secretary Al Frink will discuss the benefits of trade to the United States and Ohio during a visit to Superior Products, Inc., which manufacturers a complete line of compressed gas fittings, assemblies and manifold systems.  The Assistant Secretary will also tour the facility and present the Department’s Export Achievement Award to Superior.  

The award is presented to U.S. companies that have benefited from the Department’s Commercial Service export assistance to make their first export sale or open new foreign markets. Superior Products is being recognized with an Export Achievement Certificate for its increase in exports to countries throughout the world.  

Frink oversees the department’s Office of Manufacturing and Services, which promotes competitiveness for America’s industries.  MAS conducts economic and trade policy analysis, shapes U.S. trade policy, participates in trade negotiations, organizes trade capacity building programs, and evaluates the impact of regulatory policies on U.S. manufacturers and service industries.  MAS also works with other U.S. Government agencies in developing a public policy environment that advances U.S. competitiveness at home and abroad.
