The Administration on Aging (AoA) is now requiring all applicants for discretionary grants to submit their application via www.grants.gov. Grants.gov is a single, authoritative source for finding information on, and applying for, all competitive grant opportunities.
In 2005, AoA held a teleconference to assist applicants in understanding how Grants.gov can streamline the Federal grants application process, as well as to provide instructions on how to register for Grants.gov. The PowerPoint presentation and audio file for that teleconference can be accessed at http://aoa.gov/doingbus/grants/signing_up.asp.
To compliment the teleconference on registering for Grants.gov, AoA held a teleconference on submitting applications via www.grants.gov on April 19, 2006. The purpose of this teleconference was to ensure that prospective grantees understand how to submit applications via Grants.gov and included a brief presentation and ample time for questions and answers.
A pre-requisite to attending the teleconference was to watch a Grants.gov demonstration film on Completing Grant Application Packages. Click here to download the film. In addition, during the teleconference a PowerPoint presentation on applying for AoA grants was reviewed. Click here to download the PowerPoint presentation. If you would like to listen to an audio tape of the teleconference on submitting applications via Grants.gov, click here. (Due to technical difficulties at MCI (the conference planning company) the first 3-4 minutes of the teleconference is muted.)
