The courage to forgive and to bring hope
Interview: In 1998, Rose Mapendo was swept up in the ethnic battles inside Democratic Republic of Congo and sent to what she describes as a death camp. Despite enormous suffering and loss, she found the courage to forgive her jailors and became the inspiration for a new organization, Mapendo International, that provides emergency help to refugees.
