The National Indian Gaming Commission is divided into 6 regional offices along with their respective headquarters: Southwest Region, Phoenix, AZ; Northwest Region, Portland, OR; California Region, Sacramento, CA; North Central Region, St. Paul, MN; and South Central Region, Tulsa, OK.

The NIGC Regional Offices are fundamental in fulfilling the mandates of IGRA in fostering economic development of Indian tribes and ensuring the integrity of tribal government gaming on Indian lands and that tribes are the primary beneficiary of the gaming revenues.  The NIGC field staff maintains close working relationships with the Tribal gaming communities.

The Regional Offices consist of a Region Director, Field Investigators, Auditors and Administrative Staff and comprise approximately half of the total employees of the NIGC.
