Information for Notice of Proposed Construction or Alteration

  • It is necessary under Part 77 of the Federal Aviation Regulations to notify the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of any proposal which would exceed certain elevations with respect to the ground and neighboring airports. To fulfill this requirement, it is necessary to complete and return the Form 7460-1. Please note in the Advisory Circular 70/7460-2K that the location of the proposed structure should be marked upon a U.S. Geological Survey quadrangle map or equivalent, along with the completed form. Proposals not located on airport property should be sent to:

  • Proposals which are to be located on airport property must be coordinated with the airport manager, and submitted with a copy of the Airport Layout Plan (or similar suitable drawing), upon which the location of the proposal is designated. Please see the additional information we have compiled.
  • For construction or alteration of an object on a public-use airport, the completed 7460-1 form should be sent to one of the following Airports District Offices based on the state the proposal is located in:
