The Pediatric
Oncology Branch ( POB ) of the National Cancer Institute is part
of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the world's largest
medical research institution, which is operated by the federal
government. Patients who participate in clinical protocols are
treated at the Clinical Center located on the NIH campus in Bethesda,
Maryland. This Home Page provides patients, families and physicians
with an overview of the type of treatments available for children
with cancer and of the research conducted by investigators at the
Pediatric Oncology Branch.
