Get off my planet. Give me my space.
Get real with Reel NASA.

Space travel always has been the stuff of science fiction movies. NASA, however, has picked up where the likes of Jules Verne and Stanley Kubrick left off--remaking the story of space exploration in fact.

NASA made its boots for walking on the moon. Those boots not only left an impression on the moon's dusty surface but also on the minds of millions of people.

The men and women of the space program are working hard to build upon those historic steps. The once giant leap of mankind will now be the stepping stone for even greater giant leaps as the moon one day becomes a pit stop on the road to beyond.

Pink Floyd dared to ask: is anybody out there? NASA dares to answer this question.

Roll cameras! These reels show the action behind the real story at NASA. That's one small click.

Space shuttle Endeavour's STS-126 flight will feature important repair work and prepare the
International Space Station to house six crew members for long-duration missions. The 15-day
flight with its four planned spacewalks will primarily focus on servicing the station's two Solar
Alpha Rotary Joints, which allow its solar arrays to track the sun. (The starboard SARJ has had
limited use since September 2007.) Endeavour will carry about 32,000 pounds, which will include
supplies and equipment necessary to double the crew size from three to six members in
spring 2009. The new station cargo includes additional sleeping quarters, a second toilet and a
resistance exercise device. The shuttle also will deliver a new crew member and bring back
another after more than five months aboard the station.
Several college students, working at NASAs Johnson Space Center, teamed up to help their generation reconnect with NASA by creating entertaining videos that people might not expect from a government agency. Using their own resources and skillz, these young employees created a series of videos that educate and entertain. They were out to show that NASA can communicate with the public with more than just NOVA specials. Not that theres anything wrong with NOVA, I mean NOVA is awesome. Its just that its on TV at Friday nights at 8 PM and I have other things to do. But I digress.

Enjoy the videos and click on the links if youd like to learn more about what NASA is doing, how it impacts your life, or how you can actually get involved.
NASA's Constellation Program is working to produce the next generation of spacecraft for the United States. These spacecraft, which include the Orion crew vehicle and the Ares launch vehicle, will allow NASA to lift its sights beyond low-earth orbit and to conduct sustained, long-term human and robotic exploration of the moon and other destinations in the solar system.

These videos will give you a behind-the-scenes look at the design and development of these new spacecraft, and you will get the chance to meet the people behind Constellation.
