Document Delivery/ILL -- Extending the loan period on material from NLM's collection

Question: Does NLM extend the loan period on material from its collection?
Answer:

The loan period for original material, microfilm, and audiovisuals is one month. We do not grant renewals. However, the National Library of Medicine (NLM) may consider an extension of the loan period under certain conditions. You may ask for extensions by e-mail at: custserv@nlm.nih.gov or by telephone at: (301) 496-5511.
