TRANSMITTAL NOTICE - INDIAN HEALTH MANUAL

BACKGROUND:

This transmittal transmits a revision of Part 3, Chapter 13, Section 11 - Hysterectomies Resulting in Sterilization, of the Indian Health Manual.

It also transmits the following pen and ink changes to:

Section 3-13.10F.5 - Family Services.  Page 7-C.  Monitoring Procedures.  Paragraph 4, 2nd sentence should read:  "This form is to be submitted by the Area Program Office to the Office of the Division of Program Operations, IHS Headquarters, within 45 days after the end of the quarter."

Section 3-13.14D 1.b - Insert the word "registered" between the words "certified" and "nurse."

Section 3-13.14D 2.b and d. - insert the words "analgesia and/or local" between the words "obstetric" and "anesthesia."

MANUAL MAINTENANCE:

Remove superseded material and file the new material in proper sequence.  Make pen and ink changes as indicated above.
