We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site unless you choose to provide us with such information. This site does not use "persistent cookies," which can record visitors' movements, and can store the collected information on visitors' hard drives.

Note: Although the Customs and Border Protection Web site does not use these permanent cookies, our Web site has links to electronic newspapers and other organizations that may use them.

If you send us email or fill out a feedback form pertaining to CBP operations, we would use that information solely to respond to your message.

• We may share the information you give us with another government agency only if your inquiry relates to that agency, or as otherwise required by law.
• We do not create individual profiles with the information you provide, nor do we give it away or sell it.

• Our system uses software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for Web site planning and maintenance, determining technical design specifications, and analyzing system performance.
• Except for authorized law enforcement investigations and as stated above, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Server logs as described above are scheduled for regular destruction in accordance with the National Archives and Records Administration.
