Pizza Party
  • Your teacher allows the class to have a pizza party. The delivery pizza shop runs a special such that a the first large pizza in an order costs $15.99, the second pizza (in the same order) costs half the price of the first, the third pizza costs half the price of the second, the fourth costs half the price of the third, as so on. If you can only buy whole pizzas and your class has exactly $31.75 to spend on pizza (excluding tax and tip), what is the greatest number of pizzas your class can get?
