Comments Strontium chromate is considered a hexavalent chromium compound, but no studies have documented an increased cancer risk for exposed workers. Chronic exposure to hexavalent chromium may produce evidence of kidney and liver injury. [ATSDR Case Studies # 4] "No data were availiable on risk associated with exposure to strontium chroate or to other specific chromate pigments." [IARC] See "Chromium and compounds."
