Washington DC Campus Updates

August 2008
Drafts of the resident profile, program of requirements and conceptual designs for renovations were submitted by the contractors to AFRH for review. Additionally, concepts for the redistribution of heating and utilities affected by the Master Plan were submitted for review.

July 2008
National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC) reviewed the final master plan and transportation management plan for AFRH, approving Zone A and returning Zones B and C to the AFRH Zone.

May 2008
Initial design conferences begin with AFRH-Washington managers.

April 2008
Contract awarded to Intec to study and present options for renovating Scott. Report due in early fall.

February 2008
Mr. Cox presents the FY2009 budget with the request for $5 million plus for planning and construction management for the Scott renovation.

January 2008
AFRH managers hold an initial brainstorming session to discuss the strategic movement of services and residents involved in renovating the Scott Building.

AFRH management team conducts informational meetings with members of the AFRH-Washington Resident Advisory Council.
