Lincoln, Pryor, Berry announce funds for Woodruff County Nursing Home

WASHINGTON, D.C. –  U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and U.S. Representative Marion Berry today announced that Woodruff County Nursing Home in McCrory will receive $213,022 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The money will be used for equipment in the nursing home’s dialysis center. These federal dollars were approved by the Congress and signed into law under the FY 2008 Omnibus Appropriations bill.

“These funds will help ensure that Woodruff County Nursing Home residents receive the best health care possible,” said Lincoln. “Staff members of the facility will now have better access to the resources and equipment they need to provide high-quality, effective care. Their residents deserve no less.”

“Access to local dialysis services saves patients and caretakers valuable time and transportation costs,” said Pryor. “These funds will ensure residents of the Woodruff County Nursing Home and McCrory and have the very best treatment available.”

“Dialysis is a life-saving procedure for individuals with kidney disease and it is especially important for seniors who are receiving treatment to have the best care available,” said Berry.  “This funding will give the Woodruff County Nursing Home additional resources to better treat their patients.  I’m pleased to see this funding go to such a worthwhile facility.”
