Description:   opportunities to participate in research and development relating to science, math, and engineering

Eligibility:  U.S. Citizens Only. full time undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty

Location(s):   Various locations across U. S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) headquarters (Silver Spring, MD.) and field centers

Duration:   10 weeks in the summer and possible academic school year support

Frequency:  continuing

Awards made:  number varies

Deadline(s):  applications accepted on year-round basis

Benefits:  weekly stipend of $440 for undergraduate students, $550 for graduate students and $1,200 for faculty; limited travel reimbursement (round-trip transportation expenses between facility and home or campus)and housing allowance

Funding source(s):  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration through a Grant Agreement with Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU).
