Representative Berry and Senators Lincoln and Pryor Announce $984,684 in Grants from the Department of Health and Human Services
 

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Marion Berry (D, AR-1st), along with Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, announced grants worth a total of $984,684 for several counties within Arkansas First Congressional District funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

 

The grants are designed to improve rural access to child and family services including counseling, primary health care and community programs.

 

Craighead County

  • $71,795 for the Basic Center Program for Runaway and Homeless Youth in Jonesboro

 

Lee County

  • $48,185 for the Lee County Family Resource Center’s Compassion Capital Fund Mini-Grant Program in Marianna

 

Searcy County

  • $482,944 for the Boston Mountain Rural Health Center in Marshall

 

Woodruff County

  • $381,760 for the White River Rural Health Center’s Community Access and Health Center programs in Augusta
