  • American Association of Suicidology
    A nonprofit organization dedicated to the understanding and prevention of suicide--a resource for anyone concerned about suicide; provides a National Directory of Support groups for Survivors of Suicide on the website; holds annual conference for professionals; also holds annual Healing After Suicide Conference for those who have lost someone to suicide.
  • American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
    Supports the research and education needed to prevent suicide; offers conferences and educational programs for professionals and survivors; provides many grants for researchers in the area of suicide prevention; holds an annual conference.
  • American Indian and Alaska Native Mental Health Research: The Journal of the National Center, can be found at http://www.uchsc.edu/ai/ncaianmhr/journal/index.htm   An excellent (and free) resource for mental health programs, scientists and evaluators, policymakers, and community members.
  • Behavorial Health Software Application Information
  • National Strategy for Suicide Prevention
    A collaborative effort of five federal agencies (including IHS) to promote a framework for specific actions to prevent suicide--in response to the Surgeon General's Call to Action to Prevent Suicide.
