HIV Prevention Hearing

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (Representative Henry Waxman [D-CA], Chairman) held a hearing on HIV prevention activities and recently released CDC incidence data. Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, Director, NIAID, and Dr. Julie Gerberding, Director, CDC, testified. Accompanying Drs. Fauci and Gerberding at the witness table were Drs. Thomas Insel, Director, NIMH, and Kevin Fenton, Director of CDC’s National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention, respectively.
