Project Spotlight: Vegetation Management Services

Vegetation Management Services (VMS) continued to provide valuable support to the Herger Feinstein Quincy Library Group (HFQLG) through coordination of the monitoring program, preparation of the annual report to Congress, contract preparation and administration, and monitoring of the implementation for the Pilot Project. In addition, VMS is now providing database applications and GIS tools for HFQLG implementation and monitoring.

VMS provides many types of professional services and products to Forest Service employees. As part of customer service, VMS provides mentoring, training, and support. We feel that knowledge transfer is a critical component of a sustainable workforce.

VMS developed innovative solutions using multiple information technologies (i.e. Oracle/GIS interface) to improve customer efficiency. VMS continues to provide advanced expertise and support in contract development and administration, information technology, and ecosystem management.
