FY 2009 Budget Request
NOAA's National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service, also known as "NOAA Satellite and Information Service" (NESDIS) requests a total of $1,157.880 million (or $1.157 billion) in the FY 2009 President's Budget Request. This represents a $226.087 million increase over FY 2008 enacted amounts.
This FY 2009 budget request will allow the continuation of NOAA's satellite and information services, satellite and data acquisitions, analyses, and archiving, and supporting infrastructure. These activities support NOAA's mission to understand and predict
changes in Earth’s environment and conserve and manage coastal and marine resources to meet our Nation’s economic, social, and environmental needs.
