FVS Software

This page leads to Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS) software available from this and other web sites. If you are using our software, we suggest you check the links on this page often. • FVS Setup Programs
  The complete FVS, Suppose, and SVS simulation package. Setup files include all simulator and visualization software components including the FVS variants, the graphical interface (Suppose), the Stand Visualization System (SVS), and sample data in a single, easy-to-install program.
• Variant Files
  The primary base model files for each geographic variant. Parallel processor, fire and fuels extensions (FFE), and insect and disease extensions are available for some variants.
• Suppose
  Suppose program files for installing or updating the Suppose interface.
• Pre-Processors
  Programs to translate, convert, and query data for use with FVS.
• Post-Processors
  Programs integrated with FVS to extend and enhance FVS modeling, reporting, and display capabilities.
• Stand Visualization System (SVS)
  A link to the Pacific Northwest Research Station's web site providing documents and software for SVS (not provided by the Forest Management Service Center web).
• Keyword Component Files (Addfiles)
  Keyword sets developed by our staff or others to perform certain functions not currently available in the FVS models, extensions, or post-processors.
