FVS Documents

Documentation for the Forest Vegetation Simulator includes a variety of bulletins, users guides, manuals, and technical reports.

• Bulletins
  Bulletins notify users of program updates, problems, or other information related to the Forest Vegetation Simulator, Fire and Fuels Extension to FVS, and the Insect and Pathogen models.
• Variant Overviews
  Variant overviews provide specific information about each variant. You may also visit the individual variants' page to get specific information and software for each variant.
• Suppose
  Documents describing Suppose and release notes detailing the changes occurring with each version of Suppose.
• General Technical Reports (GTRs) and Guides
  Documents providing background information and user's guides for FVS, FFE, and related programs.
• Insect and Pathogen Models
  Link to the Forest Health Technology Enterprise Team's (FHTET) web page for extensions to the base FVS variants. These extensions incorporate the effects of insects and forest pathogens. Includes overviews for the extensions.
• Stand Visualization System (SVS)
  A link to the Pacific Northwest Research Station's web site providing documents and software for SVS (not provided by the Forest Management Service Center web).
