Madelyn Dillon, Program Manager,
has served 17 years as a permanent, full-time technical publications editor for the Forest Service at both the research and Washington Office levels. Her expertise currently is applied to planning and overseeing the program of work for Publishing Arts in addition to editing scientific, NEPA analysis, and other publications for a wide range of clients at forest, regional, and national levels. She has a master’s degree in natural resource management and a bachelor’s degree in technical journalism.

Mary Carr, Technical Publications Editor,
has 15 years experience as a full-time writer and editor with the Forest Service, specializing in scientific and natural resource reports, planning documents, and general audience publications at all Forest Service levels. Before federal service, Mary gained 13 years experience as a natural resources communications specialist and published science writer. She has a master’s degree in biology and a bachelor’s degree in English and has completed coursework in conservation biology, technical writing and editing, and graphic design. She is certified Editor in the Live Sciences (ELS).

Carol LoSapio, Writer-Editor/Document Designer,
has 25 years experience in scientific and popular publishing. She creates multimedia products (strategic plans, technical guides, electronic documents, slide shows, DVDs, posters, etc.). Carol has worked for the Forest Service and Animal Plant and Health Inspection Service and is proprietor of a small desktop publishing business. She has taught college courses and spoken at national conferences. Carol majored in technical communications and minored in information technology.

Karen Mora, Editor/Printing Specialist,
has been publishing natural resource documents for most of her 30-year federal career. She has served the Forest Service at the forest, regional office, Washington office, and research station levels. For 8 years, Karen was an editor for the U.S. Geological Survey, where she completed a technical publications editor upward mobility program. Karen has an associate’s degree with majors in journalism and geology. She has completed additional coursework in writing, editing, and marketing.
