Land and Resource Use
Welcome to the Center for Sponsored Coastal Ocean Research (CSCOR) coastal impacts of land use theme page. CSCOR is dedicated to high priority multidisciplinary, ecosystem-based regional studies that investigate the cumulative impacts of multiple land use activities on the coastal ocean. CSCOR undertakes these studies on the human impacts of coastal waters through the integration of research, monitoring and modeling. More

Ecological Forecasting of Coastal Impacts of Land and Resource Use
In support of land and resource use research for decision makers CSCOR promotes the development of ecological forecasting. Ecological forecasts apply research results to management problems, allowing coastal managers to better predict future environmental conditions using current conditions and various management scenarios. Timely forecasts can provide coastal managers with practical information for better ecosystem management. MoreAccomplishments
In the theme area of environmental quality and cumulative coastal impacts CSCOR conducted major studies regarding toxic chemical contaminants, estuarine habitats and multiple stressors. More
