WRFP Management System

Report Descriptions

The following are descriptions of the available Management System (WFRP-MS) reports.

CaribouInformation in these reports has been provided by personnel at Ranger District, National Forest/Grassland, Regional Office an Washington Office administrative levels of the National Forest System. For various reasons, not all the accomplishments and possible future opportunities for Wildlife, Fisheries, Endangered Species (TES) or NatureWatch are able to be entered into the database. For this reason, the total figures given in the reports should generally not be considered to be the absolute totals of Forest Serves accomplishments and opportunities to benefit these resources with NFWF funding allocations.

Note that the first two reports display Accomplishments and Expenditures - one is from those projects done with partners, and one is from those projects done only by the Forest Service. The accomplishments and expenditures for any given species, species group, ecosystem/habitat or NatureWatch accomplishment category must be retrieved from each of these two reports to capture the total accomplishments and expenditure for that resource.

Information in the following reports can be retrieved at a national, regional or National Forest scale, and from any of the four sections of the database: Wildlife, Fisheries, Endangered Species (TES) or NatureWatch.

1. Accomplishments and Expenditures with Partners Report

Wildlife, Fisheries, TES
The amount of habitat restored and inventoried, monitoring plans and administrative studies done, the amount of NFWF funds, other Forest Service funds, and partner funds used for such accomplishment, and number of projects done in the Fiscal Year with partners, sorted by species, species group or ecosystem/habitat.

NatureWatch
The number of new sites constructed or restored, presentation and audience numbers, products produced, the amount of NFWF funds, other Forest Service funds, and partner funds used for such accomplishment, and number of projects done in the Fiscal Year with partners, sorted by program area and species initiative.

2. Accomplishments and Expenditures without Partners Report

Wildlife, Fisheries, TES
The amount of habitat restored and inventoried, monitoring plans and administrative studies done, the amount of NFWF funds and other Forest Service funds used for such accomplishment, and number of projects done in the Fiscal Year (without partners), sorted by species, species group or ecosystem/habitat.

NatureWatch
The number of new sites constructed or restored, presentation and audience numbers, products produced, the amount of NFWF funds and other Forest Service funds used for such accomplishment, and number of projects done in the Fiscal Year (without partners), sorted by program area and species initiative

3. Opportunities Report

Wildlife, Fisheries, TES
For the next Fiscal Year, the amount of habitat that can be restored and inventoried, monitoring plans and administrative studies that can be done, the amount of NFWF funds that will be needed for such accomplishment, and the number of projects that can be done (with and without partners), sorted by species, species group or ecosystem/habitat.

NatureWatch
For the Fiscal Year, the number of new sites that can be constructed or restored, presentation and audience numbers possible, products that can be produced, the amount of NFWF funds that will be needed for such accomplishment, and number of projects that can be done (with and without partners), sorted by program area and species initiative.

4. Partnerships Report

The names of the partners that contributed to partnership accomplishments during the Fiscal Year, and number of projects they contributed to, sorted by partner name.
Information in the following reports can be retrieved at a national, regional or National Forest scale.

Information in the following reports can be retrieved at a national, regional or National Forest scale.

5. General Endangered Species (threatened, endangered, proposed and sensitive species) Information Report

A. Biological Evaluation/Biological Assessments Report
The number of Biological Evaluations (BE), Biological Assessments (BA) and Endangered Species Act consultations completed in the Fiscal Year for all Forest Service projects and programs, regardless of primary purpose, and regardless of whether NFWF funds were used.

B. Conservation Documents and Plans Completed
The number and date of any Recovery Plans, Recovery Strategies, Conservation Assessments, Conservation Strategies, or Conservation Agreements completed in this Fiscal Year for threatened, endangered, proposed and sensitive (TEPS) species, groups of species, or habitats.

C. Trend of T, E or P Species on the National Forest Administrative Unit
An estimate of status trends of threatened, endangered and proposed (TEP) species on NFS of Administrative Units. The estimate is based on best available information and knowledge of National Forest personnel.

D. Critical Habitat Designated
The date and T or E species name for which a final rule was published during the Fiscal Year, designating National Forest System lands critical habitat for the species.

6. Query Tool

This is a search tool that can be used to generate reports or select specific information at a national, regional or National Forest scale, from either the Wildlife, Fisheries, TES or NatureWatch sections of the database, or from combinations of these four databases.

It allows searches of accomplishment projects and opportunity proposals, based on search terms such as: program, region, administrative national forest, state, species/species group, type(s) of accomplishment, project contact, keyword, photo documentation, etc. Use this powerful tool to search for, and retrieve, specific project information. For example, search for: all projects on a given National Forest, projects done to benefit a particular species, projects with photographs, projects that include a particular keyword(s), projects with specified expenditures or accomplishments, etc.
