Equipment Committee

The Contract Equipment Task Group was formed under the direction of the Fire Equipment Working Team (FEWT) and the Fire Equipment, Services, and Supplies Acquisition Analysis (FESSAA) Team. The group is tasked with the development of standard specifications and typing that will be included in national solicitation templates to be used by agencies engaged in wildland fire suppression and all-risk incidents.

Method of Hire

National standard methods of hire have been developed for equipment commonly used in supporting incidents, to provide consistency throughout the Forest Service (e.g. payment methods, operated/unoperated).
