In September of 1976 the National Flood Insurance Administration issued the revised floodplain management regulations implementing the National Flood Insurance Program. This action was accompanied by a Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). This EIS evaluates the revised floodplain management regulations' impacts to the human environment.
