Award Luncheon for Lady Bird Johnson with Secretary Bruce Babbitt
On January 14, 1999, Secretary of Interior Bruce Babbitt presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Lady Bird Johnson on behalf of the Native Plant Conservation Initiative. During the luncheon, Secretary Babbitt was also given a copy of the 1997 IUCN Red List of Threatened Plants by NPCI.- Press Release for the Award Luncheon
