Proposal To Establish Southern Oregon Viticultural Area

Washington, D.C. - The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), issued a notice of proposed rulemaking in the Federal Register on September 18, 2003, proposing to establish the Southern Oregon viticultural area in portions of Douglas, Jackson, and Josephine Counties in southwestern Oregon. The proposed area encompasses the established Applegate Valley, Rogue Valley, and Umpqua Valley viticultural areas.

Written comments must be received on or before November 17, 2003.
