NOAA's Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management, in partnership with the National Estuarine Research Reserve Association, will host the annual Ocean and Coastal Program Managers’ Meeting on February 24 - 26, 2009, in downtown Washington, D.C. at the Washington Marriott, 1221 22nd Street, NW.

The meeting brings together coastal managers from states, territories, and commonwealths from across the nation and provides a forum for discussion with their federal counterparts on emerging issues in ocean and coastal resource management. 

This year’s theme will focus on NOAA’s Coastal Strategy, with a particular emphasis on Coastal Hazards & Climate Change.

Registration

Registration cost for the meeting is $425.  Registration should be made online through the College of William & Mary.  Payment should be made by credit card, cash, or purchase order through the College of William & Mary.  For those who need to pay registration fees on-site, only checks will be accepted and should be made out to "Coastal States Organization". The deadline for on-line registration is February 16, 2009.  

Hotel Reservations

Accommodations at the Washington Marriott are available at the government rate of $209.  The cut-off for this rate is January 26, 2009.  Reservations can be made online using the links provided (the Group Code “oceocea” should automatically appear from this link in the group code field at the bottom of the "check rates and availability" section).  You may also call the Marriott at (800) 393-3053 and reference the “2009 NOAA” room block.
