TRAIL CLOSURE

USDA Forest Service

Tahoe National Forest

 

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(b), and to protect natural resources and public safety, the following act is prohibited within the American River Ranger District of the Tahoe National Forest.  This order is effective from January 13, 2006 through May 25, 2006.

Using a motor vehicle on the National Forest System trails listed below:

 


Forest Trail No. 11E39 (Loop 1).

Forest Trail No. 11E40 (Loop 2).

Forest Trail No. 11E41 (Loop 3).

Forest Trail No. 11E42 (Loop 4).

Forest Trail No. 11E43 (Loop 5).

Forest Trail No. 11E44 (Loop 6).

Forest Trail No. 11E45 (Loop 7).

Forest Trail No. 11E13 (Tie 1-7).

Forest Trail No. 11E34 (Tie 3-1).

Forest Trail No. 11E46 (Tie 3-2).

Forest Trail No. 11E35 (Tie 3-3).

Forest Trail No. 11E47 (Tie 3-4).

Forest Trail No. 11E48 (Tie 3-5).

Forest Trail No. 11E15 (Tie 3-6).

Forest Trail No. 11E38 (Tie 5-6).

Forest Trail No. 11E37 (Tie 1-4).

Forest Trail No. 11E12 (Tie 2-1).

Note:  For the purpose of this order, a wheelchair is not considered to be a motor vehicle.

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

1.       Persons with a permit from the Forest Service specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.

2.      Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

This prohibition is in addition to the general prohibitions contained in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

A violation of this prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or both.
