On behalf of over 3,000 Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) associates throughout the nation, we welcome you to our site. Established by Congress in 1946, VCS operates commercial retail, food and vending operations in 172 VA Medical Centers across the United States and Puerto Rico. We also provide general retail/food services in many of our VA Outpatient Clinics and some Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) offices.
Headquartered in St. Louis Missouri, VCS operates as a self-sustaining entity, free of annual appropriations. We take great personal and professional pride in serving the best customers in the nation -- Veteran patients of the U. S. Armed Forces and those who provide for their care.
