The Autonomous Ocean Flux Buoy program is being conducted to monitor and better understand the delicate balance between the upper ocean, sea ice cover, and incoming solar radiation that sustains the perenial ice cover in the Arctic Ocean. A highly specialized observation system has been developed under National Science Foundation, Arctic Observing Network sponsorship to meet this goal. Explore the links on the left to learn more about the program.
