State-level Casualty Lists from the Korean Conflict
The Center for Electronic Records at NARA provides this set of casualty lists, which covers "persons who died as a result of hostilities in Korea, 1950-57, including those who died while missing or captured." Browsable by state, last name, or "home of record."

Casualty Records in Electronic Format
The Electronic Records unit provides electronic casualty lists for World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, as well as POW/MIA lists for those wars.

Databases of Illinois Veterans
These searchable databases list all veterans from the state of Illinois who fought in American wars from the War of 1812 to the Spanish-American War. The Database of the 1929 Illinois Roll of Honor lists the burial places of military veterans who were buried in Illinois as of 1929.

This site lists Union soldiers who died in the Civil War and the cause, whether in action, of wounds, of disease, or other causes.
