Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS)
Welcome to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) public informationwebsite for the Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for Launches and Reentries under an Experimental Permit.
The FAA Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST)is preparing a PEIS to assess the environmental impacts of launches and reentries conducted under an experimental permit. The PEIS will evaluate the proposed action, reasonable alternatives including those identified during scoping, the no action alternative, and cumulative impacts.
The Notice of Intent (NOI) is available for download and review under "Information Resources." Additional project information and the Draft PEIS will be available at a later date.
The public is encouraged to review the information provided on this website and provide comments during the scoping period. Public comments will be taken into account when determining the scope of the PEIS.
