News conference demonstrates successful commercialization

July 7, 2008

Lab assisted on nano-structure technology

New Mexico Senator Jeff Bingaman and Representative Tom Udall join Terry Lowe of Performance Improvement, co-developer of the nano-structured metals process, in an interview with Albuquerque Journal business reporter Andrew Webb, right, following a news conference last week in Albuquerque.

The news conference at Danlin Inc., an Albuquerque company that manufactures nano-titanium dental implants, was held to announce the successful commercialization of the patented nano-structured metals technology developed first in the former Soviet Union, and then improved upon at the Laboratory in the post-cold war era of U.S.-Russian scientific cooperation.
