FY09 Announcement of Opportunity

NOAA's Office of Ocean Exploration & Research has published its Ocean Exploration FY09 Announcement of Opportunity.



All applicants must read the detailed OE announcement.

There are three Office of Ocean Exploration Announcement of Opportunity Application Kits  (1. Ocean Exploration, 2. Marine Archaeology, and 3. Education). 

To apply for these NOAA federal funding opportunities, please go to the Grants.gov website and enter one of the following funding opportunity numbers:

      • OAR-OER-2009-2001484 in "Search Grant Opportunities" for Ocean Exploration;
      • OAR-OER-2009-2001468 in "Search Grant Opportunities" for Marine Archaeology; and/or
      • OAR-OER-2009-2001485 in "Search Grant Opportunities" for Education.

Applications for these FY09 Announcements of Opportunity will be accepted within three separate categories:  Ocean Exploration, Marine Archaeology, and Education.  To ensure that your application will be considered in the FY09 solicitation, compliance with the following deadlines is required.  Pre-proposals are required for all three categories and must be received by 5:00 pm (EDT) August 29, 2008.  Pre-proposals are a prerequisite for submission of a full proposal.  Full proposals are required for all three categories and must be submitted to Grants.gov by 5:00 pm (EDT) October 21, 2008.
