Nursing Fellowship

VA post-doctoral nursing fellowship opportunities are available at the Iowa City Veterans Affairs Medical Center/University of Iowa. Fellows will join an interdisciplinary research team comprised of investigators from the from the newly funded Center for Research in the Implementation of Innovative Strategies in Practice (CRIISP) at the Iowa City VA and the University of Iowa Colleges of Nursing, Medicine, Public Health, Business, and Liberal Arts and Sciences. Opportunities for collaboration are available on several ongoing health services and nursing research projects including work examining translation / evidence based practice, patient adherence to medical treatment regimens, telehealth and chronic disease management interventions, and gerontological nursing. CRIISP provides a unique infrastructure and a supportive and exciting intellectual environment for fellows to develop into investigators with independent programs of funded research. The University of Iowa College of Nursing is home to a NINR-funded (P30) Gerontological Nursing Interventions Research Center, and a John A. Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence. The initial funding period is for two years. The start date is flexible. Applicants should have recently completed their doctoral degree in nursing or a related discipline.
