Records Managers

Meetings & Activities

Bi-monthly Records and Information Discussion Group (BRIDG) Meetings

BRIDG Dates, time and location

Meetings are generally held on the third Wednesday of every other month beginning at 11 a.m. Meetings will usually be located at The National Archives and Records Administration building in downtown Washington DC. Circumstances may require last minute changes for a meeting time or location. We make every effort to contact registrants individually when changes must be made.

BRIDG Announcements and agenda items

Meeting announcements are distributed via e-mail prior to each meeting. Please contact your agency records officer or Life Cycle Management Division appraisal archivist if you would like to be added to Modern Records Programs distribution list.

Suggestions for agenda topics may be forwarded to RM.Communications@nara.gov at any time.

BRIDG Registration and confirmation

Registration for individual BRIDG meetings opens when the specific date announcement is distributed and closes 3 business days prior to the meeting or when all available seats are taken. Registrations are accepted via e-mail at RM.Communications@nara.gov. Please include the name to be registered, agency affiliation, and an e-mail address. You may register more than one person in the same e-mail, but for security reasons, we must have agency affiliation and e-mail for each person.

Although we do not send confirmations for individual registration, you will be notified by return e-mail if we are unable to reserve a place for you.

Cancellation policy

Agency:  Substitution of registrants is not permitted once a final registration list is provided to our host agency.

NARA: NARA reserves the right to postpone or cancel a meeting at any time. We will make every effort to contact registrants by e-mail and telephone if that occurs, so complete information at the time of registration is very important. Meetings WILL BE CANCELLED if the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) announces a "closed", "unscheduled leave", "liberal leave", or "delayed arrival" policy for Federal employees for that day or if there has been an elevation to threat level RED in the Homeland Security status. Official Government closing and leave information is located on the OPM web site at at www.opm.gov.

Security:  Most host agencies require a Federal photo ID or some other positive form of identification. Your name will be checked against a final registration list that we provide 3 business days prior to each meeting. Each host agency decides how to handle last minute substitutions.
