Cosmopolitan Project

The Cosmopolitan Unit is a joint Federal OCS and State of Alaska oil and gas unit located in the Lower Cook Inlet, Alaska. ConocoPhillips and partners formed the Unit in 2001 inclusive of  two Federal and eight State leases totaling 23,516 acres. Pioneer Natural Resources Alaska Inc. (Pioneer) has obtain controlling lease interests and is the Unit Operator. The Unit is currently being held under a suspension of operations as Pioneer evaluates development options.
