OCCUPANCY AND USE RESTRICTION
SIX RIVERS NATIONAL FOREST
FOREST-WIDE ORDER

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(a) and 261.58(a) camping for more than 30 days per Ranger District, per calendar year is prohibited on National Forest land within the Six Rivers National Forest.

  1. Any federal, state, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty.
  2. Persons with a special use permit issued by the District Ranger authorizing camping.

This prohibition is in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261.

Violation of this prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 or imprisonment for not more than 6 months or both. Title 16 USC, Section 551
