Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
The Executive Director is responsible for:
- The leadership and management of the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy.
- Management of the Conservancy's finances, budget, business and mission-related affairs and for implementing board directives and initiatives.
- Preparing the annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors.
- The ongoing development and cultivation of the Conservancy's major donor relationships and membership support.
- The supervision and management of the staff to maintain the efficacy and excellence of the organization's advocacy efforts, programs, events, publications and website.
- Advising the Board on policy and facilitating strategic planning.
- Working closely with the President of the Board to foster a productive working relationship and timely communication between staff and the Board.
- Working closely with the President of the Board to prepare agendas, financial reports and background material for Conservancy Board of Directors' meetings.

This is a senior level position, and the person will work under the supervision of the Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer. Key Duties:

Requirements for Historic Preservation Specialists at this level consist of a master’s degree in anthropology, archeology, architectural history, art history, historic preservation, history or a closely related academic area and three years of experience in related research, project administration or management; or a bachelor’s degree in architecture with four years of professional experience in historic preservation or restoration projects.
Selective Qualification:
The candidate must have at least a master's degree in archeology anthropology, or closely related field plus: (1) at least three years of full-time professional experience or equivalent specialized training in archeological research, administration or management with at least one year of full-time professional experience at a supervisory level in the study of archeolo¬gical resources of the historic period; (2) at least four months of supervised field and analytic experience in general North American archeology; and; (3) demonstrated ability to carry research to completion. There is no substitution for the degree.”

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in construction administration. Historic Preservation experience is preferred.

The field assistant will work under the direction of the State Physical Anthropologist on the identification, removal and reinterment of human remains. Oversee the management of SHPO and Archaeology budgets.
